Process and Approved Equipment
Clear standards - Verified systems.
VoltGuard was built on structure, a defined process and a verified standard of equipment designed to ensure the reliability, traceability, and longevity of every commercial solar asset we protect. Our framework operates with transparency and technical discipline: from system documentation and eligibility review to field coordination and long-term service support.
Only systems built with approved Tier-1 components are eligible for coverage, guaranteeing compatibility, safety, and sustained performance across decades of operation.
Step by Step.
1. Enroll a System
Submit project documentation through Enroll a System, including as-built drawings, permits, PTO confirmation, installer warranty, and commissioning records.
2. Technical Review
VoltGuard verifies that the system meets Tier-1 standards and documentation requirements.
If revisions are needed, a single consolidated checklist is issued.
3. Contract Agreement
Once approved, VoltGuard issues a Contract Agreement defining financial terms, deductibles, and transfer conditions.
4. Activation (PTO-Based)
Upon payment, signed agreement, and verified PTO, a VoltGuard Enrollment Number (VEN) and Service Certificate are issued. Coverage begins on the PTO date.
5. Operations & Service
Owners or O&M providers monitor performance. VoltGuard does not provide monitoring.
If a system issue arises, submit a Report an Event form with the VEN and required documentation.
6. Event Review & Repair
VoltGuard validates the claim, authorizes service, and manages logistics, dispatch, and documentation until system operation is restored.
Each approved service event is subject to a standard deductible defined in the Contract Agreement.
7. Ownership Transfer (Optional)
If system ownership changes, submit a Transfer Request. Upon verification and payment of the transfer fee, VoltGuard reissues the Service Certificate under the same VEN.
