Coverage Overview:

VoltGuard provides long-term coordination and execution of qualified repair services for commercial solar systems installed within the United States.
Our role is to keep systems operational by managing the labor, logistics, and documentation required to repair or replace failing components over a 25-year term.

VoltGuard functions as a structured maintenance and service framework, not an insurance or performance guarantee product.

What’s Covered

When a covered component such as an inverter, module, optimizer, racking. VoltGuard coordinates the entire repair process from technician dispatch and diagnostics to parts replacement and completion reporting.
If the original installer or manufacturer is no longer available, VoltGuard assumes full project-management responsibility for restoring system functionality.

Each approved service event is subject to a standard deductible defined in the Contract Agreement, which includes travel, site inspection, and diagnostic labor.

Outside the Scope of Coverage.

VoltGuard does not guarantee energy output, system performance levels, or financial returns related to power production. Any loss of revenue or savings resulting from downtime, underperformance, or system shutdowns lies solely with the system owner or PPA provider.

The program also excludes:

  • Batteries or energy-storage systems.

  • Roof damage or leaks due to installation.

  • Acts of god, damage from weather events or grid outages, or force majeure.

  • Failures caused by negligence, misuse, pests, improper installation, or unauthorized modifications.

  • Cleaning services or soiling-related loss.

  • Monitoring platform subscriptions or data re-activation fees.

Optional System Care Services

If the system owner ever needs additional support, such as professional system cleaning or a dedicated monitoring concierge service. VoltGuard can provide those services as well. These options are offered separately from the core program, and we prepare a tailored quote based on the system’s size and specific requirements. This ensures the system owner never has to coordinate extra vendors or manage additional service providers on their own. For personalized assistance or to request a custom quote for your project’s specific needs, please contact us at contact@voltguard.info.

Reporting Service Events

VoltGuard does not provide monitoring or remote diagnostics.
System owners or their O&M providers must track performance and report malfunctions through the 'Report an Event’ portal to initiate evaluation and authorization.
Unreported or incomplete claims may delay or void service eligibility.

System Standards

Eligible systems must meet VoltGuard’s technical and documentation requirements at enrollment.
Preferred configurations include SolarEdge inverters and optimizers or equivalent Tier-1 equipment with extended manufacturer warranties.

Ownership Transfer and Monitoring Upgrades

Coverage may be transferred to a new system owner upon payment of the transfer fee specified in the initial agreement and submission of updated ownership documentation.

Monitoring platforms and communication hardware typically require updates or replacements to maintain compatibility and functionality. These periodic monitoring upgrades are not covered by VoltGuard under any circumstance.

Any monitoring reactivation, software renewal, or hardware replacement costs remain the sole responsibility of the system owner or operator. VoltGuard has no obligation to maintain, renew, or fund monitoring access.

Term of Service

Coverage begins once the system receives Permission to Operate (PTO) and the Contract Agreement has been executed and paid in full. Repairs do not extend the original 25-year term.

Specific terms, conditions, deductibles, exclusions, and service procedures are fully defined in the official VoltGuard Contract Agreement, which governs all active enrollments.
